The Data Coordinating Center at the University of Utah is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Web Software Developer Sr to design, construct, and manage responsive and Section 508 compliant websites. With a deep-rooted expertise in PHP , WordPress, JavaScript, and UX design, the role also emphasizes mobile application development and mobile-optimized websites, ensuring that all digital assets are accessible and offer a user-centered design. Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Comprehensive Web Development: Design, code, and implement responsive websites using PHP , WordPress, and JavaScript, guaranteeing optimal functionality and user experience tailored to the DCC's standards. Design and maintain installation programs for WordPress websites, ensuring efficient deployment and system integration.

  • UX Design: Integrate user experience (UX) principles into all web and mobile application projects, ensuring intuitive navigation, functionality, and aesthetic appeal.

  • Mobile Development: Craft mobile-optimized websites, keeping in mind seamless responsiveness across various devices. Mobile application development, while not mandatory, will be seen as a significant asset.

  • Section 508 Accessibility: Ensure that all web properties adhere to Section 508 standards, where required.

  • Collaboration: Liaise with developer colleagues, clients, and project team members, absorbing requirements, and providing technical guidance.

Minimum Qualifications
