Job Description

One of our clients, a global leader in Valve Manufacturing, is looking to hire a Outside Sales Representative to join their team in Houston, TX.

This position focuses on business development and sales within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, and Refinery industries, with an emphasis on valves and related equipment. It requires a strong technical background, the ability to develop and maintain client relationships, and frequent travel within North America. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams to provide optimal solutions to customers.

Responsibilities

General Sales & Business Development:

  • Develop and manage business relationships in North America, primarily in Houston.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring accurate communication of technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and offer management teams to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Adhere to industry standards such as API, ASME, and ASTM.
  • Provide strategic insights for market growth and expansion.
  • Travel occasionally within the U.S. and internationally for meetings and training.

Distribution Sales:

  • Drive growth in the distribution market by identifying and managing key accounts.
  • Conduct in-person meetings with distributors to assess their needs and identify opportunities.
  • Develop project strategies in collaboration with distributors.
  • Focus on major distributor accounts.

Upstream Sales:

  • Expand presence in the upstream and distribution markets.
  • Build and manage relationships with EPCs, distributors, fabricators, and end users.
  • Conduct in-person meetings to assess client needs and provide technical solutions.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the value chain to identify business opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, or Refinery industries.
  • Strong technical knowledge of valves or related equipment.
  • Proven track record in business development and lead generation.
  • Excellent customer relationship management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively.
  • Experience in technical sales, with a focus on solution-based selling.
  • Persistent, self-motivated, and goal-oriented mindset.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to close deals and meet targets.
  • U.S. citizenship or Green Card required.
