Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Body Shop Technician to join our team at the Collision Center of Columbus. As a Body Shop Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition. You will work closely with our team of professionals to ensure that all repairs are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will be critical to your success in this role. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits packages.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Able to work full time
  • Completion of a vocational or technical program in auto body repair
  • At least 2 years of experience in auto body repair
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Preferred Qualifications:

  • I-car certification in auto body repair
  • Experience with computerized estimating systems
  • Experience with aluminum repair and welding

Responsibilities:

  • Performing body repairs on damaged vehicles, including frame straightening, welding, and panel replacement
  • Preparing vehicles for painting, including sanding, priming, and masking
  • Painting vehicles using spray guns and other equipment
  • Inspecting completed repairs to ensure quality standards are met
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area

Skills:

As a Body Shop Technician, you will use your expertise in auto body repair to restore damaged vehicles to their original condition. You will use a variety of tools and equipment, including spray guns, welding equipment, and computerized estimating systems. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be critical to your success in this role. You will work closely with our team of professionals to ensure that all repairs are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Your ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics will be essential to your success in this role.
