The Standardized Patient reports directly to the Manager of the Standardized Patient Program and Assistant Director of the Clinical Skills Center (CSC). The major responsibility of this position is to portray all the characteristics of a real patient, simulating the signs and symptoms both in the classroom for teaching purposes and in the setting of an exam for assessment purposes. Standardized patients will often be physically examined by students and faculty as part of the medical students learning experience.
