Position Overview

We are seeking a Medical Lab Technician to assist with essential lab functions and support technical procedures as directed by the Lab Manager. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate specimen handling, maintaining laboratory quality standards, and supporting overall lab operations.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assess and register specimens for processing and testing.
• Maintain high-quality standards and productivity as required by the department.
• Follow designated procedures for labeling, processing, sorting, and delivering specimens.
• Prepare solutions, reagents, and necessary supplies as assigned.
• Operate all required laboratory equipment efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of experience in data entry, laboratory work, or a similar role preferred.
• Ability to follow work instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures.
• Understanding of laboratory environments and practices is preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel experience, is preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing or lab setting is a plus.
• May require standing or walking for extended periods.
• May be required to stoop, reach, and lift light (20 lbs) to moderately heavy (50 lbs) loads.
