Job Title: Jr Materials Specialist

Job Description

As a Jr Materials Specialist, you will assist in creating and maintaining production schedules to ensure timely completion of projects. You will monitor the flow of materials and components to production lines, ensuring availability to meet production schedules. You will also serve as a 'Water Spider,' ensuring that workstations are consistently stocked with necessary materials to minimize downtime. Additionally, you will collaborate with supervisors and production staff to adjust schedules and material flow to accommodate production changes. Clear and effective communication with team members, management, and other departments regarding production needs and timelines is essential. You will use computer systems to track production progress, input scheduling data, and generate reports. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and addressing inefficiencies in production scheduling and material flow processes is also a key part of this role.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

  • Experience in manufacturing, production planning, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and purchase order processes.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.

  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and identifying inefficiencies.


Work Environment

The work environment is primarily an office setting. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with room for growth, as the company is expanding at a very fast rate.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00
