Job Description

Position: Marketing Associate

Location: Woodstock, IL (In-person)

Pay: $19-$21

This position is a full time (35 hours) with benefits.

Benefits:

About Us:

Turning Point, Inc. is a nonprofit domestic violence agency providing comprehensive services to the community. We are seeking a Marketing Associate to enhance our team.

Job Summary:

The Marketing Associate is responsible for creating and managing marketing materials and coordinating public initiatives to raise awareness about Turning Point’s mission and services. This role focuses on social media management, internal and external marketing collateral, website content, and printed materials. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and dedicated to enhancing community engagement through effective communication. Reporting directly to the Director of Outreach and Community Engagement.

Responsibilities:

Social Media and Digital Content:

· Develop, schedule, and manage content for Turning Point’s social media platforms to engage the community and promote the organization’s mission.

· Monitor engagement metrics and adjust content strategies to optimize reach and impact.

Marketing Materials and Brand Consistency:

· Create and distribute marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, newsletters, and email campaigns for both internal and external use.

· Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels and materials.

· Collaborate with the team to produce digital and print content that highlights Turning Point’s programs, services, and mission.

Event and Community Engagement:

· Coordinate the creation and procurement of branded materials (e.g., merchandise, banners, promotional items) to enhance agency visibility at events and in the community.

· Assist with planning and executing event marketing efforts

· Serve as an articulate, passionate, and visible spokesperson for the organization within McHenry County at community events and visibility tables.

· Partner with Events and Fundraising Coordinator to create the quarterly newsletter for donors, ensuring it aligns with brand messaging and engages the target audience.

Additional Responsibilities:

· Order, track, and manage inventory of all marketing collateral and branded materials.

· Assist in coordinating with external vendors for print and promotional services.

· Support special projects related to marketing, outreach, and development as assigned by the Director of Outreach and Community Engagement.

· Attend and actively participate in required educational programs, departmental meetings, and staff meetings.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred, or 2+ years of experience in marketing or communications.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Experience managing social media platforms and creating digital content

· Experience with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite is a plus

· Creativity and a passion for community engagement

· Flexible availability for visibility tables, events, and occasional nights and weekends

· Must possess reliable transportation, proof of insurance, and a valid driver’s license

· Fluency in both spoken and written Spanish and English is preferred
