Purpose
The primary purpose and function of the Digital Marketing & Member Engagement Specialist is to build
and maintain a positive, meaningful relationship with prospective and existing Members to ensure new
enrollments, annual renewals, Member retention and Member referrals. The Digital Marketing & Member
Engagement Specialist will oversee and implement the organization’s social media, digital marketing,
public relations efforts and Member events. The Digital Marketing & Member Engagement Specialist will
be responsible for producing relatable, engaging content, building up a thriving online community, hosting
events and curating creative content to drive new enrollments and help nurture our existing Members.

Essential Functions & Duties
The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for telling the world our story and sharing the stories of
our Members as well.
● Help manage long-term marketing strategy including monthly content calendar, the Hannah blog,
social media, email campaigns, landing pages, videos, events, public relations, and any additional
content we add to our content marketing efforts so that everything we do strategically works together.
● Develop and execute end-to-end campaign strategy and multi-platform content plan that support our
business objectives and drive significant growth through online strategies
● Act as the brand steward and work closely with Director of Memberships to ensure the brand voice
accurately reflects the brand and the company’s story
● Develop digital media editorial calendar, planning and creating content for the brand’s blog,
newsletter, paid social, and organic social media channels
● Understand best practices and strategies for growing social media audiences, particularly on
Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok
● Understand the unique tones of the veterinary care industry and develop innovative and impactful
content with a consistent, cohesive and on-brand voice across all brand assets
● Build and cultivate online community, engaging audience in both reactive and proactive
conversations
● Assist in researching and/or gathering information from internal and external subject matter experts
to develop and organize effective content across a variety of social media channels
● Write, edit, proofread and distribute multi-media content for various audiences across all channels,
including company website, social media and email campaigns
● Own the communications and production processes including digital asset management, campaign
timelines, and creative requests
● Develop ideas for news articles, research, prepare, and distribute press releases, articles,
web-based material, photographs and videos
● Capture and analyze the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and social media best practices to
measure the success of every social media campaign, then use that information to refine future
campaigns
● Coordinate, plan and attend events that build meaningful Member connections, increase brand
awareness and encourage our Members and the community to engage with the brand
● Collaborate with other teams to plan events and enhance value for Members

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
● Overall business knowledge. Industry experience/knowledge is preferred
● Excellent independent and team collaboration skills
● Excellent communication skills: written, verbal and presentation required

● Ability to work collaboratively while possessing strong organization skills and ability to act
independently with minimal direction
● Knowledge and experience working with print media, public relations, events, collateral, social media
metrics and online platforms
● An interest in understanding the veterinary care industry and Hannah’s mission and strategic plan
required
● Demonstrated ability to manage projects in accordance with short and long range objectives
● Strong attention to detail
● Experience in event planning is strongly preferred
● Ability to work efficiently and meet short deadlines
● Solid understanding of the marketing funnel and the phases of the customer journey
● Minimum 3 years’ experience developing and executing marketing strategies in a multi-channel,
multi-product environment in a Marketing Content Manager, Marketing Manager, Writer/Editor, or
Specialist role
● Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Digital Technology or related field
