As a Civil/Structural Engineer, you will be working with our team of engineers to provide engineering design and technical support.
Responsibilities in this role will include, but not limited to the following:
- Work within project schedules and deadlines.
- Review and be familiar with approved design criteria and codes.
- Review scope of project to clearly define what our deliverables will be.
- Design and analyze foundations for heavy equipment and structures, ensuring stability and structural integrity.
- Design and evaluate mill buildings, considering operational requirements
- Develop fall protection systems to enhance workplace safety in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Perform structural modifications and upgrades to existing crane runways,including load capacity assessments and reinforcement designs
- Conduct structural analysis using industry-standard softwares and methodologies
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
Education, Experience and Skills
A successful candidate will possess the following:
- Ability to interact and talk with clients to review projects status or deliverables.
- Travel to client’s site to attend meetings or gather additional information for the project.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Licensure is not required.
- Be able to read and interpret drawings for review and reference.
- 3 to 5 years prior experience utilizing civil/structural engineering principles.
- Proficient in AutoCad and Solidworks.
Familiarity and ability to work with STAAD software
- Knowledge of applicable codes (Technical Report No. 13, CMAA, AIST TR-6, AISC) and other regulations and industrial standards is required.
- Having prior experience working within Heavy Industrial Manufacturing Facilities
Physical Requirements
In this role, the following physicals aspects will be needed: - Standing or sitting in a stationary position for extended periods of time. - Walking around an industrial manufacturing facility. The ability to climb stairs, walk on platforms, or ride in an elevator. - Car or air travel to client’s site may be necessary. - Possession of a valid driver license. Travel utilizing a company car or rental vehicle. - Working within various climates. Exposure to hot and cold environments. We offer a competitive compensation package.
