SNI Companies is looking for Certified Medical Assistants to join one of the largest healthcare organizations in Jacksonville, FL. Must be actively Certified and possess an active BLS certification. Pediatric and phlebotomy experience is a HUGE plus!

90 day contract-to-hire position

Full-time, in office. Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm

Pay Rate: $17.00 to $20.00 an hour (depending on experience/education)

Eligible for increase after 90 days of employment

Responsibilities:

• Interview patients and record their medical history electronically
• Accurately measure patients' vital signs and document electronically
• Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
• Administer injections or medications to patients as directed by the physician
• Collect and prepare lab specimens for testing
• Assist the receptionist with administrative duties such as scheduling, answering phones, and verifying insurance
• Adhere to HIPPA safety guidelines and regulations
• Maintain knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems

Requirements:

• Active CMA and BLS certifications required
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
• Must be able to pass background check and drug test
