Accounting Manager

📍 Location: Huntsville, AL

💰 Salary: $123k – $150k

Are you an experienced Accounting Manager looking for an opportunity to lead and optimize financial operations? This role offers the chance to manage key accounting functions, ensure compliance with government regulations, and collaborate with senior leadership to drive financial excellence in the aerospace and defense sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including payables, receivables, payroll, and general ledger.
• Lead month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
• Manage compliance with GAAP and government contracting regulations.
• Conduct revenue and expenditure variance analysis.
• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal requirements.
• Work closely with external auditors and facilitate annual audits.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff.

Requirements:

• 7-10+ years of experience in government contracting accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred).
• CPA/CMA certification highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition .
• Expertise in Unanet or Deltek accounting software.
• Ability to manage and analyze large datasets with precision.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract obligations.
